Roderick Gordon and Brian Williams initially self-published 2,500 copies of Tunnels under another title - The Highfield Mole - in March 2005 because they thought that they would have little success with mainstream publishers.

These earlier publications have now become something of collectors' items as the astonishing prices of both the paperback and hardback volumes displayed below clearly indicate.
